Meet Captain Kelsey Waliszewski, Founder
Captain Kelsey, Founder of the 501C-3, has a passion for the ocean and creatures within and believes everyone should be given a chance to experience its beauty. As a recovered divorcee, she believes the ocean can be a tool to help heal, restore, overcome fear, and grow as an individual .
As a former youth worker and volunteer in Hilo (2009-2020), Kelsey believes that kids should be given opportunities to be exposed to different opportunities in safe and fun ways. This helps connect kids to what lessons are being taught and helps develop lifelong sustainable practices in their life.
Kelsey is the owner of Da Whale Boat and President of For Children to Flourish. Her passion is to help take FCTF to the next level and will be the volunteer interim Project Coordinator for the rest of the 2024 season. Meet Renee, our Project Coordinator April 2022-April 2024
Renee wore many hats at For Children to Flourish, but wears many hats in life in general. She is a wife, mom of 4, friend to many, lover of all creatures, and warrior for our planet and our kids. We are thankful for her time served at For Children to Flourish and proud that she was instrumental in helping take out almost 1000 keiki and their families out on the ocean during her time with us. We wish her the best in her next endeavors.
